Got a Dension ipod cradle from an online retailer. After 3 months the daft springy clip that holds the phone in place has broken. I've contacted the retailer and we've swapped a few emails and you can see the slopey shoulders already trying to palm me off. They are offering to take it back and let Dension have a look at it and decide whether it's a manf. defect.

Do I go with this or start mentioning sale of goods act and fitness for purpose and encourage them to MTFU and sort me out or do I let them involve the manufacturer?

Your contract is with the online retailer so I would start quoting rom the SOGA. It may be worth contacting Dension to see if they're willing to help but they don't have to - although that would be poor PR!
