Well not constantly, but far more than I should be. Been happening for pretty much 4 years. Occasional heartburn, but as soon as I burp it goes away which leads me to believe it’s not acid reflux/gerd (I’ve very occasionally experienced bringing up acid, not nice), as I’m not burping up acid. Feels more like trapped wind
I suspect a bit of ibs, and I definitely suffer from anxiety. I haven’t been to doctors and don’t take anything for it other than Gaviscon before a bike ride as it sometimes gets worse when exercising if I don’t.
certainly doesn’t particularly affect my life, hence I’ve never done anything about it, however I’ve read that if it is Gerd you probably want to do something about it as it can cause lasting damage so may need to check it out
any thoughts?
Definitely get it checked out. Could be a hiatus hernia.
Just googled hiatus hernia, never even heard of it. Not really got many of the symptoms of that though thankfully.
im slightly confused however. Surely if I had acid reflux then burping ain’t going to make it go away, and if it did then I’d be tasting acid in my mouth (which I’m not)
will get an appointment with GP though just in case
never even heard of it
My wife suffers it.

Google "silent reflux".
Although if you are burping it isn't silent!
