For using Zwift. My iPad and laptop are too old so can't run the app. Tried using an old iMac but the frame rate was about 4fps.

It works perfectly on my phone but the screen is too small. Has anyone used one of those USBC to HDMI cables with success? I have a spare monitor I could use.

I’ve been doing it since I got my Wattbike before Christmas. I use an adapter that lets you charge it aswell as the video out can drain battery, they are about £15 on Amazon plus you need a hdmi lead. Works well.

Ive actually got a Dex dock but it’s too awkward to use.

As said above, the lag of casting might annoy a little.

Need a little help with this. I bought a USB C to HDMI lead but can't get it to work.

Using a Samsung A70 and HP monitor. No casting or WiFi. Just a cable.

I think that it'll depend on the phone. I tired one of those usb-c to hdmi adapters with my Samsung A7 tablet; it didn't work.

It turns out that you need a usb 3 port to do this and, as the A7 is fairly low budget, it only had a usb 2 port.

Damn. In that case, what is the CHEAPEST way to get zwift on a larger screen without a laptop? I have my phone, iPad 4, old iMac.

I use an old iPhone SE and HDMI adapter, I assume you can get them cheap used.
I hear Apple TV, whatever that is works and can be had for £130, but have no experience of it. I either use the iPhone or work laptop.

A quick look on eBay and a gen 1 SE can be had for £25, although I assume as it's 4 years old it wont be supported forever. It's still not much more than a round of drinks if anyone can remember buying them.

My phone doesn't support HDMI out so can't use that. Don't have a laptop either. I have a family new Mac that I use for work so needs to stay setup in an office so can't use it for Zwift.

I have an older iMac but the frame rate was very low. Too low to use for Zwift. Also have an iPad 4 but it doesn't support Zwift.

Ideally a want to mirror my phone without any lag to a monitor (not a smart tv).

Update. Got my old Mac Pro (2009) out the loft, spent some time searching online for a newer version of OSX to install, did a fresh install with OSX 10.11 and it works with Zwift! Smooth graphics too.

Only issue now is the base unit is very big and needs to be right next to the trainer to connect via ANT+. There's a slight delay between pedalling and the power updating on screen so I'm hoping a USB extention cable with the ANT+ dongle closer to the trainer will solve that.
