Which is the best option for connecting?
The soundbar also has a Bluetooth connected subwoofer....but it appears to drop connection. Â We've had this set up for a few years now with tv connected to soundbar by optical but recently the sound has been dropping plus noted the green connection light on the subwoofer blinking at the same time.

I am interested in this myself - I have an LG TV with a sound bar ( Heos HomeCinema ) on its way to me.
My *understanding is that HDMI ARC is the way to go, not least because it will allow the controlling of the soundbar from the TV with a single remote.
I'd connect with HDMI ARC for the convenience and worth giving it a go if your optical connection drops to. My old Samsung soundbar + bluetooth subwoofer used to lose sync occasionally but only between each other (just had to re-pair), sound from the TV to the soundbar didn't cut out.
