We've got a new record player for xmas and currently have it hooked up to the new amazon alexa echo plus. I can't help but think the sound is a bit crap compared to my sonos play 1.
Anyone know of a way to get the record player hooked up to the sonos without buying the expensive sonos connect box?
Cheers
Andy
Cheapest way: look for a Sonos ZP80 secondhand. They're old but still work fine, get updates and has the aux-in you need.
What record player is it? A lot of them now come with a (admittedly, probably a bit crap) phono amp & line outs.
If it has this, does the Sonos not have an aux in? allowing you to just plug it straight in?

Unfortunately only the Sonos 5 has an Aux in. Loadsa chat about Preamps etc you need to gen up on.
Edit: However if you have your record player plugged into the Aux in of the Alexa you won't need a preamp.
2nd edit: Sorry should have read your original post better I see you already know about the connect. Not sure there is another way?
