Am I supposed to revere these guys? I mean, fair play to them for bothering to bother the baldy. But, would probably have made more sense if they ate it.

Not sure there is good eating on a Bald Eagle.

Protected spieces so they released it. Chapeau to them as not without risk.

When I was 20 I was promised a job working in Cordova Alaska (thats another story) I living in Rochester upstate New York. After travelling across the country eventually flew on the "milk flight" from Seattle to Cordova. We landed at 5 other places first, I decided to get off the plane for my first look at Alaska. There was no airport as I understood airports to be just a long tarmac strip and a hut. The most striking thing was 3 Bald Eagles sat on a curb about 40 ft from the plane. They were huge, I just thought "oh shit where am I" Eagles and trees was my first impression of Alaska 😆
