Thinking of going for a walk along the Swale on Sunday around Keld to go look at Kisdon Force.

I've found a GPX of a 5 mile loop the looks like it goes along one side of the valley then back on the other.

Does anybody know what the conditions are like up there at the moment? Is the Swale too high to walk along?

It'll be sloppy around there, but you will be able to walk along the swale, and the waterfalls will be looking nice!

Looks fine. The path alongside the Swale between Gunnerside and Reeth can be a bit sloppy in places, but IIRC the track to the north of the river up towards Keld is at a much higher level for the most part.

There are two paths on the LHS (as you face Keld from Muker). The High one follows the Pennine Way and it always pretty dry. The lower one follows the fields along the Swale and is pretty muddy in winter.

On the RHS there is one path which climbs up after about a mile and the first part isn't normally  that bad as it follows a gravel access road which drains ok-ish.
