I've reduced the temp of my condensing boiler as they are supposed to be most efficient when return temp is below 55 degrees, otherwise they cant run in 'condensing mode'
Anyway now i've done this i need to have the heating on earlier in order for the rooms to warm up as the rads arent quite as hot.
So if heating is on longer is there much efficiency i've gained?!

these things are more effcient when they work hard.. ie condense.. no plume no condensing..
however worcester now include a 'chip' with all boilers to reduce the heat by 50% on the central heating circuit
into the real world.. the most energy effcient boiler is one that is off..
all this 92% effciency etc will make little impact on your heating bills.. its how often and for how long you use it that makes measurable differences
ah i was told that they only work in max condensing efficiency when the return temp was cool enough to allow the exhaust gasses to condense on the return pipework. If its too hot they dont condense.
