You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I appreciate before dezb rides me that these are huge corporate entities but my o my it was shit at the nia tonight. Closed bar areas resulting in 45/60 min queues for a beer in the ones that were open, half good staff then the other half aggressive and general what's your problem mate. Not had a "gig" like that for a long time, we had a laugh at the end dancing on the ice rink floor near the back though...
So the only reason you went to a gig was to have a few beers and you couldn't. My heart bleeds. 🙄
Why are so many people professionally butthurt on here? OP just wanted a pint, and there were no bars open. Not sure what they did to raise your ire?
You need the CVCB.
That's the Concert Venues Control Board.
Unfortunately it doesn't exist but if you get the funding I'll have a crack at it 😀
That's one of the reasons why I won't go to big venues, and some smaller ones now* .
They treat you like s*it. You could 100 metres away, pay way over the odds for refreshments. Crammed in, struggle to get out, car park takes ages to walk to, then another age to get out the car park.
I've been once to the Nat Ex. Centre venue, never again will I go to a large place to see a band.
Email the band to tell them. If they get enough complaints, they may change venue next time
*Rock City Nottingham. Been there loads of times. Generally have put up with the poor conditions, but last February was the last time they'll see me. Surly door staff, who were almost abusive for no reason. Cloakroom staff who just chucked my GFs coat in a corner. We went for a drink, stuck to the carpet (no joke, it was like walking on evostick), waited ages, then got abuse from the bar staff when we queried why they thought a vodka & lemonade was a shot of vodka in half a pint of lemonade. Add in the disgusting toilets - it smelt so bad, I refused to even have a pee there.
Probably to the Promoter, Venue and on twitter to the band, the band are probably the ones who can make more of a difference.
I don't know what your problem is count zero, I noticed you replied on my other post regarding the actual band who were very good I might add . Are you an ex alcoholic who tries to shame people for wanting a beer when going out? As a rule a ridiculously expensive pint of "brown" is somewhat a right of passage when at a gig following a band who've "made it" to a bigger venue. As a "gig goer" for 24 years I have a rough idea of how it works and was merely pointing out how utterly shit it was tonight venue wise. In fact to the point where I/we said no matter who was playing we wouldn't go back. I'm off to see Sean lock in November, am I allowed a beer at the royal concert hall?
Earnt my stripes at rock city. Carpets always been like that. When it's busy they never seem to open that bar stage left for some reason.
Sounds about that time in life you stopped gigging...

In the spirit of having a go at the OP, that took 30 seconds to find. 🙂
Most venues will have a feedback/contact link on their site. Also try FB/Twitter etc.
who to complain to?
Is this a way to run a f****** ballroom?
I'm not fussed about being able to get a pint but at gigs you've got to be able to get some sort of fluids in you... And access to free water'll be a condition of their licence too. So could be worth going down that route, if there was no other potable water available, 45 minute wait for any drink isn't reasonable.
