I picked my laptop up by the screen earlier.
I now need a new screen.
I can't feel anything on the surface, so I assume it's just the internal thingymajigstuff that has cracked.
This is the spec of the screen:
Toshiba TruBrite® Full HD TFT High Brightness IPS display with LED backlighting and 16 : 9 aspect ratio
internal resolution : 1,920 x 1,080
..and this is the laptop if it matters.
So will this do the job, or be lesser in some way?

Thanks 🙂
Lesser yes, they always are sadly.
Not sure it's the exact right one, they change the models all the time - some are fairly generic and fit most thing, some are bonded in and are a bugger to work on.
Oh, pants.
In what way might it not be the right one? (Or do you mean the way the Tosh screen is assembled?)
Ta.
Only in so much as I haven't checked the exact model.
We have a lot of problems in work (IT support) with them- for example we're currently putting out HP 250 G5 laptops at the rate of 100 a week, at the end of last year we were putting out the same model, but they've been refined - I don't really know how many parts are interchangeable yet.
I guess I'm just saying check carefully as model names can be carried over.
Bonded screens are typically found on higher spec, smaller sized LTs
The number of times I have reminded people at work not to lift laptops by the screen!! Still they turn up "oh my screen's gone all funnY".
