I have an old 220GB hard drive that I have been using as a back up for a couple of computers. Now it's a bit full I want to remove the old windows and Microsoft software from it.
Can I just reformat it and use it as a separate drive, or do I need to uninstall the software on it?
It is connected in to the main computers via a USB port, and is in a hard drive case, if that makes a difference.
Thanks all

A format will wipe everything. you can then use it as a separate drive.
