Looking to buy a compound mitre saw (ideally under £200) anyone have any recommendations?
I got an 'evolution' brand one from B&Q a few weeks back for (I think) 70 or 80 notes. Seems pretty good though I haven't done any compound cuts with it yet. No slider at that price though.
Thanks, a slider would be preferable.
I bought the evolution sliding mitre saw from Screwfix.
£100 and does everything I've ever asked of it.
Yup, another evolution 'Rage' here. Decent enough for the money. I got the larger if the two sliders they did at the time (about 3 years ago)
Reliable, reasonably accurate (but you have to spend a bit of time aligning it out of the box) and the blade has lasted well. My neighbour has one too, used it for all their skirting and framing, and it looks great.
Lidl special. £80 I think. Long sliders and deep cuts. Seems good so far to me.
Another member of the Evolution clan, got one with the bigger blade while Screwfix were doing the table at half price of you buy it at the same time, but sure if that deal is still on
I bought the titan slider. It's gone up a few quid recently. Seems to do what I need. Not convinced it's amazingly accurate and I wish I'd have got a laser, but big capacity.

Table to cut big lengths on would have been a good idea!
I got the Bosch green with table for £270 on ebay second hand. Excellent bit of kit IMO. Iirc they wanted £120 for the table so in your budget range. Table does make a massive difference when cutti g planks though.
