why does everyone compare everything to obama at the moment?
[Slumdog Millionaire] film is Obama-like: people want to see the film, and they want to feel this film has changed their lives. It lifts them, makes them happy.

That's actually quite an interesting quote. Note that it says nothing about Obama, only about what people project onto him.
The equivalent comparison with Brown might be [i]Confessions of a Shopaholic is Brown-like; people are forced to see it, it makes them feel angry and helpless.[/i]
It's not really a comparison with Obama per se, but with a mass random motivation of people.
