Just registered a new company yesterday, I got an email at 1130 this morning confirming it was active.
Since then I have had multiple calls from people claiming I owe £6000 on the electric and some even claiming to be from companies house itself.
Thing is, they came in on our land line which is in the public domain and would show if you googled my home address. Anyway didn't even list a landline on companies house.
I considered stringing the electric one for a good while but I've too much to do.
Bloody annoying.

@maccruisken - It was just nonsense. They claimed to be from British Gas disconnection department.
They were calling the landline which would have shown on a google search, but the thing is, the business it's related to isn't a Ltd Co.
They couldn't tell me my full account number!
They just called again and this time the "supervisor" came on the line, so I explained to him what they had done to get the number and I had half an hour to kill, so would chat to him for the next 30 minutes. He gave and put the phone down.
