Quite specific this one but a couple of cameras from 2016 have caught my eye as there are some good deals on them at around the same price point:
Powershot G7 X II
Panasonic Lumix TZ100
Lumix has longer zoom range, Canon has faster lens, Lumix has EVF, Canon has none
Anyone who's tried either or ideally both care to comment?
Not owned either but from my quick look at them online, the Canon has a much faster lens while the Panasonic has a much longer zoom at the sacrifice of speed.
Personally I would value the fast aperture over the extra zoom range so would plump for the Canon.
Think about photos you have taken & how often you would require a long zoom lens. Most cameras have their compromises, it's just choosing the best compromise for the pictures you think you'll be most likely taking.
