Just moved to near Denny so I don't know the area well. I get the train into Edinburgh from Falkirk High. The obvious commute from Denny to the station seems to include the A883. In parts it is a fairly quick road. Is there any sensible alternative that I am missing? I am sure many people use busier, faster roads but if there was something quieter that would be nice. Mrs cd would worry less which makes a quieter life for me.

And get the train to Edinburgh from Larbert? I had a look at that, not tried it yet, but the trains are every half hour rather than 15 minutes from Waverley to Falkirk, but it might work out OK if the cycle is that much better. I want moon on a stick. A nice quiet road with no traffic, downhill to and from work and a following wind preferably.
