Looking for a camera for my commute that will record, but also enable me to easily take photos or tag a point in time for easy review later, preferably without having to look down or distract away from eyes on the road.. The reason I want the photo / tag ability is so that I can photo drivers on their phones and those drivers that either pass too close when overtaking or those that fail to give way on single lane roads as they come towards me and refuse to respect that they are in essence on my side of the road and should give way.
I know it's a long shot, but do any of them come with heat seeking guided missiles so I can just deal with the problem myself?
Thanks
Garmin's VIRB cameras have a remote control option on some Garmin Edge devices and maybe other non Edge, plus there are stand alone remote controls like this. The remote lets you start/stop the video and take a photo even during video recording. You can also press a button on the VIRB and it takes a photo but you have to reach for the camera for that.
On top of that the Edge/whatever is recording GPS which can be synced up with the VIRB video using their editor software producing overlays of data, or some VIRB models have built in GPS also.
Thanks. I'll take a look at that one.
