My MiL has found a pile of commemorative coins (Jubilee, Royal Wedding, Churchill, stuff like that) £5 and £2 denominations. I don’t expect them to be worth anything more than face value, if they can be realised at all. Can anyone tell me:

a) how to get face value for them (bank?)

b) is anything like this worth anything more than face value?

thanks 😊

Bank will change them, in theory you can just spend them, certainly the £2 ones.

But try a coin collectors shop if you can find one. Some might be worth something and they will be able to tell you.

Check out some coin dealers' websites. Some of your coins may be worth a bit more than face value
