I've got two apps in my phone, I want the same colour in each.
One offers RGB via sliders (can't enter values) or hex, format FFFF6800.
The other app uses the format #FF4500.
Now I realise I could just play with the colour picker to get a close match, but it's the principle. Some small screen phone browsing has not revealed a conversion tool...
Try FF6800
The extra FF on the first one is probably Opacity, FF being solid and 00 being transparent.
Thanks, didn't work to begin with but now seems to be playing ball and the colours match...thanks 🙂
RGB and hexadecimal colour values basically work the same, splitting red, green and blue. The hex format, like RGB, is actually 3 values, FF, 68, and 00. Never seen an 8 digit colour hex, but what footflaps says makes sense.
It's actually quite common to have a 32 bit colour value with an alpha channel
