You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Not the city. The smelly stuff.
Does anyone on here use any? I remember that, in the 1980s, every men's magazine (i.e. GQ; Esquire) had pages of ads and samples so strong you could smell them just by going into a petrol station, but that no longer seems to be the case. (Do magazines even still exist?)
Anyway, the reason I ask is that there was one scent in particular I used to really like, but it's bloody expensive, and I was wondering if anyone still makes that sort of investment.
I still have a bottle of Fahrenheit I got for a birthday present when I was a teenager. Absolutely no idea why I have kept it. It must be 25 years old now.
Ugh. Reminds me of Friday nights out in the early 90’s in (affix random town here). Smart black shoes, terrible trousers and the most hideous smelling cologne combined with sweat and cigarettes.
I think I once got given some Davidoff Cool Water. Utter dogpiss.
Just checked. Still 3/4 full, so should definitely see me out...
I’ve always worn Chanel Platinum, ironically after getting a whiff in a copy of FHM back in the day. I only wear it now and then eg a nice meal out, so a bottle lasts years. But because I only wear it on special occasions it instantly makes me think of nice times and positive memories and so I like as much for that as anything.
If you don't want to spend a fortune, Yardley do some good eau de parfum copies (eg Elite) which are a lot better than cologne.
Bleu de Chanel, Dolce & Gabanna The One, Clinique Happy.
Creed for me. Tends to last me a while as I don’t wear it unless going out. Two bottles on the go currently.
During the summer it’s Creed Virgin Island Water.
I don’t buy any myself, tends to be the wife buying me it…..I think it’s how she justifies her spending!
I’m really into fragrance. I have a subscription where they send you 10ml of something different each month. Rotation means you never get used to one and fall into the trap of over-applying.
If you want to buy a bottle of something that used to be nice, check it first. They change the formulas occasionally and there can be differences between batches.
Hmm, interesting. I don't partake myself, but the missis gets though so much of it I reckon she drinks it more than spraying. I was told it doesn't last forever, (probably but the missis) and 'goes off' after a couple of years. If you've got a decade old bottle, does it actually still smell?
The dog wears Duke. 🤷♂️
I only use cologne if I am wearing my lucky pants.
Have you thought about maybe washing those pants Haggis ?.
Lynx Africa for me
