Edge of palm into tummy. Sit baby up, then down, then up, them down... Repeat until burping stops. Worked for us. Oh and add infacol.

Love that pic. 😀

Is Mum feeding? Or formulated?

Baby boys can be greedy and guzzle like there's no tomorrow.

Sorry I can't be helpful, it was a very long time ago, but do hope that you find a solution. 🙂

A wee smidge of Infacol in a bottle just before feeding did it for us.

My commiserations - it took us about two weeks to figure that out, by which point we were both dog-tired as my daughter would wake and scream every time we tried to lay her down.

Just remembered that I used a fennel drink, can't remember its name though.

Coleif worked better for us than infacol. Or you could try infant gaviscon if it's reflux. Top tip for giving medicine is one of those 20ml bottles with a pipette, stops things being sprayed everywhere and makes dosing easier.

Brutal isn't it. Infacol worked, along with infant gaviscon and raising on end of the crib.

As said above drops seemed the best thing - infacol didn't seem to do much. They are all different!
Oh and apparently some people manage to get coleif from their GP - ours wasn't having any of it! (it's like £11 a bottle!!)

Live with the knowledge it will eventually stop!

Infacol got us through it, it was still pretty rough though. Good luck, and it will get better. Believe it or not, this little princess caused my wife and I weeks of sleepless nights with colic.

Love the photo...
Have you asked your local pharmacy if they make up a colic formula? We used to get some from a pharmacy 10-15 miles away, it worked, it was great, start asking as there will be some locally.

Good luck and hope you get some sleep soon.

On a par with homeopathy

According to many practitoners, chiropractors can cure this

Remember colic isn't actually a medical condition, so it doesn't have a 'cure' as such.

None of the drops etc worked for us, when we had extended bouts of screamery we thought it was most likely emotional issues.

We well he had colic for a couple of months infacol seemed to help .

The most important thing to remember is it will end and though the rug rat is in obvious distress it won't actually harm them .

Best of luck .

Tried nearly everything, nothing worked, 10 weeks of misery. I still get a shiver of relief when I remember the night my partner turned to me and commented that it was 8pm and daughter1 wasn't crying yet - no colic after that night, weird.

We got prescribed the baby gaviscon with our youngest, which helped. He had colic and reflux which seemed to be linked.

Nothing properly worked for around 8 -9 months though. It was very difficult if I'm honest.

Thanks for the support everybody..

well.. our first was very receptive to Colief but our new fella is not feeling it at all..

having said that.. he fell asleep about 10pm last night after about 3 hours strong yelling.. and then pretty much slept through til about 7am.. he's pretty quiet this morning too..

I don't particularly like the screaming but it's his big brother (2.5yo) that I feel for.. he's a quiet gentle geeky type of kid and is a bit freaked out by it all..
Still it looks like the cause of the colic is food.. so we figure that we'll just stop feeding the noisy little swine.. 😈

EDIT: he's just kicked off again.. ossum

Ours also has a lactose intolerance which caused her stomach pains and excessive gas until mum cut out dairy. She did have an obvious rash in tandem though. Anything like that?
