is it me or is a little colder than normal for this time of year? The wind seems to be coming from either the east or North for most of April and now May.

Feels it, very dry though. Our lawn has more or less stopped growing again.

April into may always goes from 20 to snowing in an afternoon seemingly at random.

Been absolutely baking in Alnwick today.
Weather seems pretty normal for this time of year to me, can change from one extreme to the other in moments.

Apparently when my sister was born in 64 there was a solid layer of snow at the time.
So, no.

I had to go rooting for a short sleeve jersey for this afternoon's ride. Lovely and warm (if a bit windy at times).

It's been a belter of a week so far in Galloway, in fact the weather has been amazing for the past few weeks at the very least - trails are dusty dry to the point that the ground is cracked and even the one wet boggy area has fully dried up, this very rarely happens and if so only in late august after a heatwave so it's a sign of very little rain over the last couple months.

Away to Aviemore this saturday for a weeks holiday so i expect i've just cursed myself and will expect a northerly cold front to move in and settle over the cairngorms.
