Flatwhite=Latte
hahahaha nothing but :')

A flat White is a strong 3 shot of coffe, opposed to the one in a latte of the same size, and filled with velvety milk, inbetween the state of frothed and steamed.

And there are few better coffe shops who make better fw than starbucks or costa

clearly not. its perfectly possible to appreciate the finest espressos and still enjoy a latte or other less "look at me I'm an expert" variants.

I like my coffee like my men. Strong and black without a hint of sweetness.

Anything else is just gay.

Indeed, hence the gay term "I like my coffee like I like my men - sweet, weak and white"

Sorry to actually answer the OP but....

We tried to buy a Baby Gaggia last w/e but Comet (had to get it there, using a voucher) said they were out of stock. So ordered Gaggia Classic online and collected... in the store they had Babys on display. Go figure.

Classic seems excellent - recent poor reviews on Amazon about coffee shooting all over the place seem to have resulted in Philip (Gaggia's new owners) fixing something, so all working beautifully.

I gave up hope of ever getting a decent cup of coffee from either Starbucks or costa a good while ago. Cafe Nero is alright though.

The shooting coffee everywhere thing was when they made a basket specially for idjits who wanted to make espresso coffee with cafetiere style coarse ground beans. Supercrema or some such name.

Use a proper basket, use proper coffee, take out the nozzle thing and normal service will be resumed.

Espresso = Coffee

Surprisingly ignorant comment!

Even black coffee comes in very many different styles, and as any idiot knows not all styles of preparation are at all appropriate for all roasts and provenances.

you are not a real coffee geek unless you have an aeropress, coffee siphon and your own grinder as well as espresso machine

Best coffee in the world is supposedly Jamaican Blue Mountain. Don't take that near an espresso machine or any think like one!

If you can afford it, get yourself a decent machine and grinder. A Rancilio Sylvia is a good starting point. I bought a second hand La Pavoni sold it at a profit and am now on my second Expobar (again second hand).

I used to like Neros but now they all taste crap compared to what can be made properly at home. It cost me a lot but I've saved on what I used to spend each day at the coffee shops.

For good really fresh coffee try hasbean.co.uk . The beans are only roasted when you order and it arrives the next day generally.

Nero is the least worst high street chain option

at home, get a stove top, less messy than a cafetiere and able to make espresso or longer drinks dependant on how hard you fill the coffee sieve

Mr Smith - blimey that looks way too faffy for my liking
