Working in Aberdeen tomorrow, and as a first timer in the city I could do with some pointers for good coffee, somewhere to work for a couple of hours, and maybe some decent food for early evening before flying back down south.

Anywhere I shouldn’t miss?

My favourites for food when we're in Aberdeen are Rishi's Indian on George Street for their fantastic Dosa menu, or Madame Mew's for Thai on Summer Street.

I'm not the coffee type, but Books and Beans on Belmont Street is supposed to be a pretty good place to hang out for a while.

Foodstory for coffee and cinemon rolls

Second for rishis for food or pigs wings I'd bbq is your thing

Or smoke and soul who have taken over the old 6degrees north bar

Rusticos has always been very average when I've gone but my local is borsalinos so I have great authentic Italian on my door step.

I'm in Aberdeen this week, had a very good curry at 8848 on Union Street.

The breakfast at our hotel wasn't great so we went to the Vegan Bay Bakery instead and they had great coffee as well.

Useful thread as I'm delivering my daughter to Uni there on Saturday so I should be a semi regular visitor to the city for the next few years.

That's funny, I'm delivering my daughter to uni there in a few hours... I live 20 miles north of the city though so not too hard to sort her out.

Good luck - and if you bring a bike on one of your visits, shout and we can show you around.

STE delivers again!

Rapidly googling all these recommendations instead of prepping for the actual meetings tomorrow- some great spots above!
