Chris Beardsley has had a few interesting posts on CNS fatigue recently, inc one on cycling. Just thought I'd post out of interest.
CNS Fatigue is greater from high rep low weight exercises eg cycling would be an ideal candidate..

This one explains how it builds up without you noticing (eg over a long ride), which was pretty interesting...

Are we doomed? What is CMS and is this why i feel tired today?
That’s really interesting to me footflaps
Cheers for posting.
I have some cns issues from having Lyme ten years ago.
I have thought for a long time now that long rides makes it worse but short hard stuff like weights makes it better.
Makes sense to me to as someone with a history of CFS/ME. I seemed to lose all aerobic ability, but was able to do super abbreviated weight routines (like body by science stuff) to 'build myself back up'.
I managed to build up to doing long rides, but always been far to anaerobic in my efforts, despite trying not to be, and fatigue levels get very high after long or back to back rides with very poor recovery. A short bike packing trip (not race) (500k or so over 4 days) will leave me totally drained for a good couple of weeks.
Is it possible to feel like this every day?
