Twisted my knee snowboarding in November, was a bit sore for a while. Since then the inner side of joint makes loud clunks when squatting, less so if I twist foot inward. No pain or swelling and only slight loss of flexibility and not stopping me riding a bike so I have ignored it for three months. As there has been no improvement thinking it needs looking at properly.

Any one had similar issues, would a physio be first port of call?

Sounds like mine when I tore the meniscus. Wee keyhole op, right as rain now.

smacked my knee and hip crashing 6 months ago. Joints were moving around, snapping into place, crunching/popping. Xrays confirmed no dislocation. As above, torn the cartilage inside. I'm still not right, but slooooowly improving. Cycling is good because its low impact, but I'm still not able (or keen, given how I feel) to play footy

I'd go and see and Orthopaedic Specialist via a GP referral and see what they say, get an MRI through them and really find out, it'll be a wait if your NHS, or go private if your lucky. They will tell you straight and recommend physio if necessary. I had similar symptoms and 'persevered' for 8months, turns out it was torn meniscus like the poster above, wish i'd just had a prognosis in the first place and got it clipped out.

Physio first ideally via GP as above MRI is only way to tell (comsider paying for private to avoid looonnng wait) - IMHO ligament stretch / meniscus damage has meant moe movement / clicks. I havetwo broken ACLs and am sadly familiar with crunching noises and sharp pains 😐
