The moderation on here is in my view suitably light touch and even handed. It's a job I wouldn't fancy and I'm grateful for the time and effort of those that have to do it.

But, having blown enough smoke up your arses, a request 😃. When you close a busy thread, could you post a line or two to explain why? Sometimes it's obvious, but sometimes, it seems to me there's an interesting exchange and the plug is pulled without it being apparent to a thicko like me why.

Wouldn't hurt to point it out for the hard of thinking though. I'm sure the worst perpetrators of that kind of behaviour are getting a little direct message from the mods.

I'm a fan of being open about when things have crossed a line and explicitly stating that because it helps define the lines but keeping any admonishment/education of individuals 100% in private.

This will be closed shortly I'm sure. 😂
