Clicking shoulder blade: did you recover?

I've got a clicking shoulder blade which I've had for ages. I also have a dodgy neck. I think I might be able to help my neck by sorting my shoulder. I'm going to get to the GP, but I'm curious to know if folk out there had similar and if they managed to cure it (and how)?

Clicking joints can often mean that the muscles aren't maintaining an adequate congruence. Physio would be good, to work out which muscles you need strengthening.

Shoulders and necks are often very much working together so the two problems may well be related. But, then again, they may be two separate problems, it's impossible to say without seeing them to be honest

I'd probably cut out the GP and just go to a private physio.

I had a super painful shoulder injury for a month, sounded just like a rotator cuff injury. Had one visit from a physio who gave me some simple exercises, shoulder is now fixed and it seems to have solved my tendancy to pull muscles in my neck...better than ever just from a few weeks of raising various tins and bags of rice from the kitchen.

To add, I've got private medical cover, so would need a referral from a gp in any case. Physio is my expected path, just curious if anyone managed to come out of the other side?

A clicking shoulder isn't a diagnosis, it's a symptom of something, so it would be hard to predict the outcome.
