Trying to find out what this clay type stuff is so can get some more. Don't want to use cement as it would stick to pipe.
Is red and although dried hard not tough and breaks out easily. Goes around a pipe where enters the chamber above a small drain.
Any help welcome as I have no idea what it is called.
Trowel mastic?
That sounds exactly like it.
Probably the wrong application of that product but if rebodges the bodge and lasts...
(in reality I probably should rebuild the whole drain but it doesn't need to be done just for this little pipe)
Plumbers mait?
Seems more gritty than silicony and isn't flexible. Like a red clay with bits of grit in. I'll go with the trowel mastic and see the results - if seems soft I can then cap with some concrete.
Thanks for suggestions.
