I found this. Not all, but most of the classic threads are linked in there and pretty much all still working. Hope no one minds me posting it back up. Enjoy!

Perspective chaps, lets keep a little, you’re snivelling cyclist snitches ratting out a few poor motorists, who heaven help us don’t have enough agro already in their daily lives being the cash cow they are to the state.

Personally in my time I’ve been the ‘have a go hero’ I believe the term was when we were being encouraged in that direction, got a black eye and lost a contact lenses for my trouble helping a Taxi driver who was being assailed by local language students of arabic appearance, I’ve pulled folk out of the channel, saved kids who have fallen down cliffs, gone to assist with first aid at car crashes before the medics arrive and assorted other examples of good samaritan action that I would reason anyone else would have done in similar circumstances, certainly anyone from my generation.

No I wouldn’t help the police under any circumstance these days other than rape and or murder if I were in a position so to do. The police have lost all my respect years ago, now that maybe because of governmental box ticking, but all I see are soft target acquiring cowards who shrink from any serious issues unless they have NCA backing.

And the more of you that follow our friend down the ratting out route, the more I’m likely to join any appeals to have commuter cyclists number plated up, what’s grease for the goose…

PS I thoroughly enjoyed Dennis Skinners interview and take on things, a shame there are not more conviction politicians like him, but then he’s from my era. I may not agree with everything indeed not much of what he says but I applaud his ability to say it and the fast disappearing culture of its tolerance.

Aw, I miss kaesae. 😥 One of life's entertaining lunatics.

This one ended up quite short, but I always thought it was a rather under-rated classic.

and he had a few spare bike frames for which he ended up being convicted of Reset (Scottish version of handling stolen goods). He wasn't just a harmless fruit cake. Still a tragic waste of a young life though.

Lunatic, yes. Entertaining, not so much. Think he was banned from most forums before his business got off the ground.

GT72 and Dave.

Maybe we should crowd fund him one of the new OnOne/Sick frames so he can finally ride with dave in the woods.

Of course that would mean Brant re naming the 650b version Louise.

Houns gym girl was a classic, has to be up there!

Plus I really liked: https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/welcome-to-the-internet/

Although all the video links are broken due to the forum 'upgrade'.

Just re-read the wife/wifi thread for the first time since it was closed, brilliant bit of work by everyone involved, with an extra special mention to deadslow for his outstanding contribution near the end!

"Kaesae was a full weight tool"

He was also ridiculed and belittled on this forum until he committed suicide.

For his faults he was still human.

I have to agree.

I read a thread he started today and with the benefit of hindsight found it profoundly saddening.

He was also ridiculed and belittled on this forum, and he committed suicide. Whilst the former may not have helped, it's something of a leap to imply that it was wholly causal. He was clearly a troubled individual to start with.

It should however hopefully serve as a poignant reminder to think before you type. If you wouldn't say something to someone's face, you probably shouldn't be hammering it out on a keyboard.

Indeed, Kaesae had his challenges and a different view on life however he was a great help in sorting out a lot of bike problems and always had time for us and we were sad to hear he took his own life. Let this one go please. Move on.

I don't remember seeing houns gym girl thread on there when I went through it. I don't remember that either, must have slipped by me too. Sounds, ummm, intriguing though......

I honestly didn't know about kaesae, if I'd known I would have gone to the trouble of copying and pasting each link. It's sad whenever something like this happens.

Didn't mean to start a debate, sorry.

Not your fault at all gnusmas, he made what could be described as aa lively start on here but he was extremely helpful to lots on here with his bearing kits and advice.

Agree, those commenting about Kaesae need to take a good long look at themselves

Sadly my gym girl thread (2005 vintage) was lost due to the hack. Happily it spawned some great friendships and of course the invention of the Rohypocinno (™️ Of a little otter iirc)
