Ordered a few things from John Lewis on Thusday. Paid £7 to have them delivered today. Never got a 'order dispatched' email although JL website showed order had dispatched early yesterday.
Phoned JL this morning and they confirmed parcel was with City Link for delivery today. City Link website says Monday.
So, now I know it's City Link, when should I expect it? Friday?

According to their site there are 3 Saturday delivery levels - pre 9.00, pre 10.30 and pre 12.00 - so still 1hr 20 before terminal depression sets in 😕

John Lewis customer service is impeccable though. City Link failed to deliver my dad's Christmas present, so when I went back to JL in the new year, they told me they couldn't send a duplicate cos they were out of stock, so they refunded and added £25 to my account! Superb!
Not going to be today, might be Monday, but they (JL) can't be sure.
Still, £30 refunded so far.
From a one delivery viewpoint they leave something to be desired.
I was tracking delivery via the website which was easy to use but twice it stated that no one was in, which was correct but I had been carded. No card on either day. I tried phoning the local depot but the phone just rang out but I was unsure which depot would be used as I'm equidistant between two depots.
The good news is that they tried for a third consecutive day which proved successful.
