Have been particularly looking forward to this tie since the second round draw.

How do we think it'll go?

I reckon Citeh win 2-0 - even with a fairly defensive line up.

Barca don't do well against big, physical teams.

Of couse if it's 4-0 to Barca at 9.30 tonight I'll be looking a bit silly!

I am really looking forward to this, still a new experience for us city fans so feeling a mixture of excitement, nervousness and trepidation.

I thing city can beat them, if barca have a weakness it is from a dynamic powerful midfield. However that Messi boy, he's a bit special isn't he, he makes magic look ordinary. Some of the other barca players are ok as well.

City should edge this one but not by much. Selection is a gamble IMO.

Aye...disrespectful little arse he's turned out to be. He needs to take lessons from old baconface when it comes to delivering underhanded insults.

The thing that I can never understand about Barca, is that they seem to have an extra player when they don't have the ball... when they've got the ball it's hard to get near them & when you've got the ball they seem to have 4 men on your player straight away...

Anyway free kick in a dangerous position...

Fergie got away with it for years, the media was basically his propaganda department as they prostrated themselves before his every utterance and published every stupid slagging off of other teams.

Now he has gone they have switched their attention to Mourhino, he knows they will print any stupid thing he says in a desperate attempt to create a story from nothing.

That's what happens when you play Martín Demichelis against Barca.

Man City should have never have played Demichelis, and started Lescot. Also, that fat lesbian Samir Nasri should have started.

IANAM.

Edit: Oooh! Looked outside the box on a reply.

Edit 2: Goal: http://arsenalist.com/f/other/gif-messi-penalty-vs-city-right-down-the-middle-gfy.html

News just coming out, Barcelona are going to appeal against Martin Demichelis' red card.

Slick.

...I was just going to say, Man City were playing better with 10 men sans Martín Demichelis.

I was just typing "Y'know, with only one goal in it, it's technically still alive..."

I think Citeh's UCL journey will be ending at the CampNou.

You have to ask, seeing how the game unfolded, what, precisely, Lescott has done to the City higher-ups. Demichels was the clear weak link in the lineup, but was still preferred to Lescott. And in the end, his inclusion changed the game.

Indeed. It was his mistakes that cost them against Chelsea the other week.

I think he must have something on Pellegrini. Possibly a relative in a basement somewhere, allegedly etc.

Now, I don't think they did. Not a City fan, but I think they held their own, probably more so when reducded to 10 men.

Barca will always out pass and have more possession than you, but they didn't really have many shots on goal, and scored from a pen and right at the end.

Just IMHO.

"If Manchester City win the tie in the Nou Camp, I will stop working."

Suddenly the whole of britain is united in hoping city can overturn this result in Spain.

But still lost 2-0 in the first leg at home. Holding your own only counts when you don't concede, which has to be the holy grail of progression at the sharp end of the European cup.

You are right about Barca, but then I recall a lot of the really decent European sides you could say that about. Retain possession, don't concede and make the most of whatever comes your way. That's the lesson for City from tonight. They looked dangerous coming forward until the red and battled manfully until the second. Won't win them the tie though.

I love this bit of the season in Europe. Proper football.

Big task now but....not impossible. A more attacking line up, Aguero back, donkey suspended and scoring first will help!

City created a few openings and will do so again. They will score but there is a wee chance Barca will do that as well. 3-1 is good enough.

3-1 good enough?

Surely they go out on away goals - 3-3 overall but two away goals conceded?
