Where do they get the prices from - seems like an excuse to print money...
I have been looking at doing it at colleges part time - only one in Scotland this year (despite what the websites of many colleges say...) and it clashes with my main training delivery days for work, so I cannot do it that way. That was £1200 fee.
To go and do an intensive course for a week is somewhere between £500 and £700 a day (so £2.5-3.5k!)
Anyone any ideas or experience of finding and sorting cheaper than this...?
Bump
500 - 700 a day seems relatively cheap for formal training. Don't know detail of the CIPD itself, but alot of training companies expect the employer to be footing the bill. Might be worth phoning up to see if you can get a self fund discount. Other option is to be flexible and try to get booked on a course which has space which is close to the start date - this requires you to be flexible though.

x upto 10 participants though...and that is just training fee (£5k-£7k a day??), so after paying for a room, some fees and a few resources (say £1.5k a day) the trainer is left with...? I get hired out at £500 a day, but that is for 12-20 participants.

I did that, and currently have been offered 20%, which is not bad, but still not great value...

And that is the issue, I am booked for training days every week, so cannot do 🙁
.
It just feels like they are using their (excellent) position in the market to charge what the hell they like. 😕
