Ah crap.

Never saw him live, but was listening to Introduce Yourself earlier this week.

Very talented man.

"**** you, I'll skate to the beach. And I'll look better getting there." Very great record.

Yep - Anne's song was a classic. Chuck was quite a character!

Epic was with Mike Patton.

Sad loss, RIP.

Ah, gutted. He was an absolute mess when we saw him live a while back, not sure he made it to the end of a single song, so it's not a shock but you hope for better.

Even if you prefer Patton era FNM (I do) it wouldn't have happened without Chuck.

For me, Faith No More was Chuck. The Patton band was another band altogether. A good band though.

I saw him at Bannerman's last year. Utterly shambolic but still pretty great (Northwind's opinion of the same experience differed though). A surprisingly good guitarist, too. I am very sad to hear of his passing.

Mike Bordin, Billy Gould and Roddy Bottum are the long established core of Faith No More. Before their first record contract they had a significant turnaround of singers and I think guitarists too. All the music for The Real Thing was done before Mike Patton (who did the lyrics for that album) joined the band, Chuck Mosley may even have been involved in writing some of the songs. Between those to facts I would say that there is significant continuity between the Mosley and Patton era versions of Faith No More.

Mildly erroneous or not, falling asleep on stage has to be one of the most original reasons for being kicked out of a band. Sure beats creative differences.

Trust singletrack to turn a sad event into a waving contest about who knows most about the band 🙄

Yes, lets just celebrate his uniqueness

I played the first album last night, the one Dez pictured above.
I'd forgotten how brilliant it was, not played it in ages.

I think it was only available over here years about 10 years after it first came out in the states.

Will be working my way through the rest again today.

What a band.
