Stayed at 83.6kg - what I was down to after food poisoning.

So that's me hit my target of losing 5kgs in 6 weeks a week early.

Next target is 80kg. Current BMI is 25.8 (I'm 5' 11"), that would take me to 24.6.

I may aim for 78kg as a final target, will see what I think at 80.

BMI results might be a little off as I'm doing a lot of weightlifting, but I'm not going down that rabbit hole!

MTBing is feeling great - got the strength to handle long rocky downhills without my quads and triceps aching.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Today I finally broke - crisps, chocolate bars, cake, dessert, buttered toast... pretty much anything I could get my hands on.
Diet starts again tomorrow

Aye, I'm in London for work for 3 days and the girlfriend is here too, so chances of exercising are low and overeating are high. However, as long as I stick to normal maintenance calories (say 2300 kcal/day) then I won't put any on, after being on 1800 or less for a month I'm actually quite looking forward to it. Might even have chips with my steak!

In other news, gym work is going great. Did legs yesterday after 2 days in a row of MTBing and increased my squat by 10kg - felt great too, not just creaking up but bouncing it up - could have gone more.

back up to 77.1Kg

I’m 10.1% fat so no increase there

Are you sure you’re in the right place

I've struggled with my weight through a vast majority of the last ~22 years (typically being somewhere in the 83-100Kg ballpark), I think the slippery slope began in earnest when I stopped regular Taekwondo training in 1996 at the age of ~22, when it was the final "proper" regular physical exercise to go after gradually letting go of racket sports and football from ~1992. All those decades ago, my TKD sparring competition weight was usually in the 70-73Kg ballpark, without being fixated on either my diet or weight.

New milestones in this latest quest to lose the excess flab this morning, even though I had no cold x bun 6-pack restraint on Sat/Mon/Weds, but probably helped by running out of chocolate raisins and chocolate peanuts packs in the cupboard around Saturday...

75.9Kg and 10.0% fat with 59% hydration level, if our scales are to be believed.

Almost lost the "dry" weight of my road bike since last Oct, quite shocked at progress since Jan, but also surprised how I've done ~460 "Strava Relative Effort" weekly average for last five complete weeks compared to ~325 average Nov-Jan.

Whooo hoooo - nearly at target.
Intense work (little time to eat) gluten free smaller portions, less booze and more exercise = weight loss and a horrible cold.

Only 0.2kg lost. Think I need to be a bit stricter at the weekend, 2 days can undo most of the effort of the previous 5 🙁

.6kg down again this week. Just back from my Friday morning walk which burned 1100kcals. Mostly adhering to 1800kcals per day and burn ~3000kcals extra per week. Also ensure exercise hard after (if) I pig out to burn the glycogen. Seems to be working so sticking to it.
Had my 4 monthly check in with my haematology consultant yesterday who's monitoring me after my lymphoma treatment, he noticed I was looking leaner.. Also went to my monthly Maggie's haematology group and they too noticed I'd lost some weight but were concerned due to the implications but was happy to reassure this was intentional!

Another 1kg off this week, no exercise and some comfort eating so I'm surprised.
5.3kg in total so far and my belt needs a new hole to keep my jeans up.

Well, I'm up half a kilo to 84.1
I'm ok with that though - the lower weight was post food poisoning and I was away for work for 3 days but had the girlfriend staying with me, so lots of eating out and drinks etc. I'm still watching what I eat and sticking to 1800kcals other than those few days off, so just trust the maths.

However, I did all my tape measure measurements today and compared them to the last time I was 84kg...

Chest is 1" bigger and waist is 3" narrower, with arms and legs staying about the same. This shows that my muscle:fat weight composition is skewing towards the muscle side.

Lots of good work from everyone!
Seems like a couple of people have slipped a little, that's OK though - it's just life, and you need to cut loose sometimes! Just make sure not to take it as a sign you'll never get there, and just go back to what you were doing successfully before. It's not a race and there are no prizes! At the end of the day it's just about making yourself happy.

106.3 today down from my last weigh-in of 108 three weeks ago and some time in diet hell.

I got back on the diet on Wednesday and I'm still working towards a happy place.

-.7kg this week which is a pleasant surprise. Dinners have been a bit excessive this last week with a meal at Pizza Express, large portion homemade macaroni cheese and a fish supper one evening but am still adhering to the ~1800kcal per day rule. Also exercise is ramping up slowly so burnt 3500kcal so that hopefully explains the continued loss oh, no booze too!

Wait, what is this spreadsheet?

Not weighed myself this week but can see a big difference in the mirror - man tits are perkier and abodominal area goes in the way instead of out now. Feel like a teenage girl!
Looking at pics I think I've gone from 20% to 15% body fat. Not bad for 49 days of calorie control

Also feel that I've made a difference to my mindset and relationship with food - why have fries with a burger?

Which is the key. I've lost weight before but this is the first time I've moved into seeing myself differently - and I don't want to go back,

@Rob Hilton - done. Thanks ever so. Before swapping meds I had got done to 99kg but have reached a heady 110.5kg of late. That said it was more important to get my head sorted but now I've levelled out a bit time to work on the weight 🙂

I've lost 6 lbs in a month purely by swapping my evening beer for fizzy water and having a hot cross bun when I get to work.

The bun seems to keep me satisfied between breakfast and lunch, so no picking.

Missed a week and only just weighed in as we then went to that London for 5 days so ate like a big fat king. Somehow managing to not actually put any weight on just maintain the flab that I already have.

Gained 8 lbs and nearly back to square one.
Why? - Shin splints have caused a two week exercise hiatus.
Being fed up and unable to walk easily and in pain caused too much drinking and eating.
On mend , very slowly.

1lb back off. Not much exercise recently due to a bad knee and shit weather, done a bit of HHIT at home instead with a kettlebell and things.

Oddly, despite weight not coming down much and not really doing calorie burning exercise in any great quantity (cf 3 hour rides) my belt is in a notch over the last week or two as well, and the mirror test is a bit better than it was at end Jan.

Got a lot to do to hit my March target though.

+.4 kg this week. No doubt due to having 3 meals out with visiting colleagues.. Not hugely disappointed but frustrated all the same. Not sure how this next week is going to go either as currently feel like poo and have come down with something which ended up with a fever and rigoring in bed all night so a break from any exercise is happening.

Only down 0.4kg, but just .1kg off target. Damn that last 100g!!

Think I need to check weekends- had a roll for lunch Friday and 1/2 a pizza for tea. Cheeky sugary cereal and toast as a treat for brekkie; bread for lunches counter act the weeks' losses. Only 1 glass of wine one night and no beer so not hitting the booze. On Mon, was up from last Fri weigh in so a bit more restraint this weekend to see if it has any effect.

- 4 Days break in Berlin

- My Birthday

- Haven't used MyFatnessPal all week

- Back on the Booze, drinking 5 nights out of the last 7

Guess what..... gained 3lbs this week

Back on it this next week, had my little bit of time off... (and enjoyed it, but not the hangovers! God the hangovers after nearly 40days of no drink are just bloody awful)

With +0.3kg this week and +0.9kg last week it's been a bad fortnight and I'm nearly back to the weight I was a month ago.
Bad eating habits and mid-week drinking has crept back in due to some life stresses. From next week I start to work from an office after 9 years of working from home, I'm hoping that will have a positive effect.

Down 8.4kg since the start of this and passed target...down a trouser size and all the Lycra fits without creaking and straining!

Its plateaued off, but leaves room for a few treats.
Very chuffed, it was the motivation to record each week. Nice one to whoever kicked this off!

No change this week for me. Progress has been slow but still losing little by little. Mainly because I’m just not riding enough and haven’t been to karate for 2 weeks due to being busy. So exercise has been down on normal. Back to more riding and karate as of next Monday so hope to see some bigger losses from next Friday.

Down a bit, just under target so happy with that. After a cheese and wine fest on Friday, def know that the weekend's relaxation unravels a lot of the week's progress. Still at least a stone's gone in just over 2 months.

Well, I feel ****ing amazing. For the first time in my adult life I've got my BMI under 25.

Dropped 10kg since new year with MyFitnessPal and this thread and worked out I've lifted over 100,000kg in the gym

[mod edit: embedding removed due to swears]

A lot of it is because I ripped all my ligaments in my knee in a motorbike accident, so have to build up strength but not put weight on so as not to stress the joint.

Decided that I'm going to go for "Brad Pitt in Fight Club" which will mean getting body fat down to 8% and losing another 12kg. Intense!

Happy Chubdates Covid Friday People

Lost a somber 2lbs this week which is a good point in what is a pretty weird, strange and daunting week.

My weight loss has seen a lot of positive changes in my head as well as physically and given what we are facing a the moment i'm super glad of the clarity of headspace and the fact I'm much healthier. I've been drinking less, sleeping more, exercising more which i'm now very grateful for.

First time seeing a weight start with 13st for well over a year or two and that's the 2 Stone lost milestone achieved

Total loss 2st 1lbs

Chub Club target weight = Done 🙂

Next target is a 'Normal' BMI which is another Stone and half away

Bit annoyed with myself. Started the last couple of weeks well and then let myself go toward the end of the week.

Now trying to balance self isolation with deserted walks with the dog and dipped below 110kg which is good.

But, before I changed meds I was a shade under 100kg so a way to go yet over the rest of the year.

At least now the Orlando holiday is postponed to next year I can have the body of an Adonis 🙂

Well done on the 2st. I'm just under target and only 4kg away from normal BMI.

So what's the impact of Coronavirus going to be for us Chub Clubbers- see increases as we're WFH and cant resist hitting the cupboard or will we lose a lot more weight as the food runs out!!

Aside from the numbers, ride yesterday felt lot better (unless its the impetus of making the most of potentially last ride for ages).

There's a nasty muddy/chalky climb (ok I'm down South so it's all relative) I'd not cleared since I replaced my Sugar1 for a Dialled Alpine and regular riding for kids 13 years ago. Managed it in one yesterday. On the route home there's also a nasty road climb that leads to a downhill blast that I usually ride past. Took a chance and made it up the road to get the benefit of the downhill.

I'm guessing losing almost 10% bodyweight and upping the exercise is playing off!
