Has anyone had the above, and if so, how did you solve it?
Long story short, about 12 years ago, my next went into spasm , with no warning or reason. Since then, my neck has always been stiff and always in a slightly tensed state. It hasnt really hurt and I've learnt to live with it. However, over the last few weeks, I've had pain in the left side of my neck from just below my ear and across my trap muscle. The strange thing is that it's worse at work and will start almost as soon as I enter the office and stop when I leave.
I'm pretty sure it's muscle guarding from the spasm and is triggered by subconscious stress.Â
I've previously had physio and seen a chiropractor but any improvement is only temporary.
Any help greatly appreciated as its now beginning to impact my work.

Are your religious with the excercises the physio gave you.
Just sounds like normal desk sitters shoulder.

Sounds like a classic symptom of nociplastic pain. I would try somatic tracking. This video shows how to do it followed by the thinking behind itÂ
