Had been working perfectly the odd times it was used. It's now showing a white light instead of red and tablet doesn't recognise it.
Quick glance would indicate this has happened to others although not sure whether in the UK.
Have you tried powering it off and on again? Worked for me.
Happened to me for some reason, would power it off, disconnect everything, reconnect it and restart it, reconfigure the phone, get so far thru and get a message that Chromecast had stopped.
Changed units, still no improvement, so gave up and got a refund.
Not sure if Google/Sony had updated something.
Thanks, done a factory reset but light has changed colour again. Will have a look later.
Make sure the USB adapter has a good power supply. Seems to solve most problems with them.
