Any views / opinions? I'm tempted by a C11, but I know little about them. Any fans or haterz on here?
Yep nice watches, wife has the female version of the trident. They have occasional nearly new sales, had one a couple of weeks ago so not likely another one for sometime.
Think they had 50% off in their recent sale so can get big savings. Well regarded generally I think.
I've had a CW for a few years now. The watch itself is fine and has some great memories attached to it (family xmas present), but they're very much from the Charles Tyrwhitt school of marketing - ie if you pay full price, you'll find it on sale for 50% RRP 2 weeks later and you can expect to get constantly spammed about special offers, sales etc for the next "x" years, both of which rather take the gloss off the product itself.

I suspected this. I'd be buying an as new model which is no longer produced, so there is little chance of sale skulduggery, but it doesn't inspire confidence. I could double the budget and go for an Omega. Decision time.
Nice watches, good if unspectacular movements, seem well made and generally have a good reputation. The marketing is a tad excessive though. Make sure you look at the measurements before you buy as well, they are not small watches, most are 42 - 43mm in size.
I've got one, it's very nicely made and very good looking - but waaaaay too big for my puny wrist so I never wear it.
I opted out of the emails so I never see any marketing.
As Internet / direct to market watch brands go, I much prefer steinhart's offerings. YMMV
the brand will always struggle with the heritage/history angle and will never be an investment in the way other watch brands are, plus they dont have a rich back catalogue to plunder for design inspiration. that said they use good movements and you cant fault the build quality and finishing for the price.
personally i would get a stowa/archimeyde/squale/yunghans max bill/nomos if i couldn’t stretch to rolex/omega money.
I had one of their Pilot watches. Wanted to like it but it just didn't feel special so it didn't last long and I've never looked at them again
Got loads of spam email though
I was looking at them about a year or so ago and they had some interesting looking designs but recently they seem to have thousands of trident variations and not much else.
If you can as you say double the budget and go for an Omega, then do it. Night and day in my opinion. CW watches are great, but the Omega will be far superior and will hold some value.
I have 2 CW's and I really like them, nice quality, feel very special to me and are always admired.
I think they are the best value for money, nice watch out there!
Love my Makaira pro 500.

No it's not as nice as an Omega, but not sure about the holding the value thing. If you buy a new Omega then you'll loose what a Cw costs walking out the door !!
I had a C11 - lovely, lovely watch. But, as someone said, they're big - and I have skinny wrists. I had bought it in the sale - I was watching them, waiting for Christmas and then they suddenly discontinued them and halved the price (to £250) so I snapped one up. Sold it six months later for what I paid for it.
I'd be tempted by one of their Tridents in a 38mm size, but I do prefer Steinharts for looks and incredible quality.

Depends how well you can haggle. 20% off Omega retail is achievable if you're not going for finance on the purchase.
If I was thinking about a c11 then I'd have a look at known second hand dealers for a Bell & Ross myself.
Try blowers, miltonares, watch club, or some gray dealers like iconic who can give 10-20% off of new.
My daughter has just bought a CW watch for her partner, a few days later she received an email offering 15% off. She gave them a call and they refunded the difference.
The CW plan was to sell cheap to create a name for themselves, then Jack the price up.
From the watches I've seen, I never thought they were worth the money. However, my mind changed when I saw the prices "Fashion" brands charge for total tat.
Diesel, Hugo boss etc are pretty much disposable. I'd rather have a CW.
I collect watches and have quite a few from ££££ to £ and from 1972 to 2015. My advice is buy whatever you like and enjoy it. Screw what others think 🙂
