Homemade veg biryani. Mulled wine (prior to curry, hence no beer). Twee American indie folk as a seasonal sounding, but not overtly Christmas-y soundtrack.

I'll report back tomorrow night when I'm not working.
Well, i had traditional fish and chips earlier, and post-pub snack consisted of a packet of Walkers Max Strong Hot Sauce Blaze crisps, a packet of Wotsits, a mug of minestrone soup, and a plate of olives, coleslaw, a chunk of vintage cheddar and half a packet of smoked salmon. My Christmas hols consists of the whole of the month, bar three and a half days at work a week ago.
The pub involved two pints of Wadworths Swordfish, a Rum-infused ale of 5%ABV.
I’ll be in tomorrow evening, when I might make a start on some of the spirits I’ve bought over the last week, which consists of:
Lidl Ben Bracken Islay
Penderyn Legend
Adnams Southwold Rye Malt
Teeling Small Batch Collaboration Irish Whiskey; matured in casks at a London Ginger Beer brewery.
Lidl Western Gold Kentucky Bourbon
Christmas Day I’ll be driving down to Salisbury to have dinner with my late partner’s mum, so a glass of wine will be the limit.
Until I get home…
There might be a few bottles of decent beer bought in town tomorrow as well.
So, happy Christmas everyone. 😎
Last night was jambalaya and stollen for pud

That is the one single thing I miss about Christmas back home now I'm living in Scotland. I used to carol with various bands in Sheffield (Escafeld, Stannington, Chapeltown, Oughtibridge and Tapton School Band) every single year on multiple nights. Was the best bit about Christmas for me for many years, going round all the pubs, working mens' clubs and old folks homes. It just isn't a thing (as far as I can tell) in Scotland, at least not in either Edinburgh or Fife.
Now in the middle of the Mediterranean working nightshift but you've put me in the mood for:
E - Morrisons Christmas Cake that I smuggled past border control (and more importantly the gannets I work with)
D - Coffee
L - Kate Rusby, The Frost Is All Over
E - Pizza and wedges.
D - A selection of Williams Bros beer.
L - An awkward en-masse family zoom with 20+ of the in-laws unable to hear each other, so everyone is shouting not realising it's Zoom clipping the noise...
E - crisps
D - Penfolds Shiraz
L - (watching) NFL, oh, and ukgravelco latest edition 😁 those fries!!! Yummy
christmas ride video just released!
Lasagne
Red Wine, Strawberry Gin
The in laws talking complete shite!
Had Cullen Skink - well a bastardised version
Having Home made cheesy twists, palmers, etc.
Drinking Brazin Zinfandel
Listening. Sound of Silence. Real silence not S&G or that dreadful cover.
E: Slices of fresh-boiled gammon
D: K1664
L: (Watch) It's A Wonderful Life

Merry Christmas everybody!
