My brother's partner got really into digital (fractal-based) art this year, including getting some work shown in a small local exhibition- she's really just starting out and experimenting but she's very into it, and as far as I can tell, pretty good at it...
But, I don't know a lot about it- is there anything that makes a good sub-£50ish gift for that sort of thing? art books or... I dunno, printing and framing services, or things that are useful for the artist to have? I've done the same when she was experimenting with calligraphy and that went down really well, but, you can literally google "caligraphy starter sets" and get 5 million of 'em...
