So we've had the Christmas beer haul thread I thought a few of my fellow coffee bores would appreciate this one. If you are Nescafé only, fair play - but kindly move along - nothing to see here. So what coffee or coffee kit did Santa bring?
Some of this was in already, and some were gifts, but I have
Pact 'bourbon cream espresso'
Pact 'tutti frutti espresso'
Iron & Fire 'Columbian jazz' (coffee not marching powder)
Iron & Fire decaf
100 house (Ludlow roaster) 'Christmas blend'
Bristol Radical Roasters 'wild thing'
Neighbourhood (Liverpool roaster) 'Roast wonderful time of the year'.
I also got a new Hario V60 drip decanter and my lad who is with us got an Aeropress Go.
A merry caffeine fuelled Christmas to the STW coffee botherers!

Finished my Pact advent calendar this morning, no coffee under the tree but daughter and a mate both got me mugs, kids got MrsMC a new travel mug, and I got her a coffee container and scoop to go with the second hand Sage grinder that was our joint present to each other.
I've just made her an aeropress coffee from the beans she bought in Austria to test her new travel mug, and I think she's now ready to cope with the imminent arrival of my parents....
I've got a Truth subscription. No idea anything about it, time to learn.
No coffee but Santa did bring a Silvia X pro and a Stile grinder. Grind is ust about right and I'm fully caffeinated
Just one Horsham single origin for me, will be a couple of weeks till I get to it in the queue. Looks like you'll have a lot of options tomorrow morning blokeuptheroad! Try not to open them all at once.
That’s a lot of coffee to get through. You’re going to lose some freshness whilst you do unless you prepare for HYPER January.
I've got a load of coffee drinking family here for the next week. We are making big inroads already (espresso martinis right now)! I'll be pretty strict about using them in order, some are a bit too fresh so are 'resting'. some will be frozen. Nothing will be wasted!
Mrs Explorerboy got me 4 250g bags from Bella Barista, our local coffee roaster in Northamptonshire.
should be enough to get me through Jan - looking forward to trying them all!

I bought my espresso machine from Bella Barista. Some of their coffee came with it. It was really good, I keep meaning to try some more.
A kilo of Madagascan and a kilo of Indian Monsoon from Pollards, never go there in a rush.
I got a bag of Guinness Espresso beans..... Who knew!!
I got a coffee machine! A delonghi magnifica evo automatic.
So now on the coffee bean hunt!
@sharkbait - I could see how that could work as a combo, let us know what you think of it.
Popped into local roasters just before they closed to get two bags of this. Absolutely my favourite they do but, of course, it's only available this time of year. Hopefully they'll have some fresh in the new year.
@duncancallum - welcome to the rabbit hole 🙂

I decided to branch out from my usual Kenyan and Guatemalan coffees, so have gone for Ugandan, Ethiopian and Peruvian and Colombian.

No coffee gifts for me this year but I am enjoying working my way through this:

Popped into local roasters
@Alex, that's another local (ish) roaster I've yet to try. I will rectify that in 2025.
I got the Pact Bourbon Cream and V60 as well!
Was thinking it could be handy for work, was considering an aeropress but this will do in the meantime, means I can get a decent coffee now.
On the lookout for a 1Zpresso JX-Pro, missed out on a couple on ebay recently, hoping a few go on after Christmas upgrades.
@blokeuptheroad - it's worth going just for the smell! Peter James (who runs it) is a PROPER coffee nerd. 30+ years travelling the world, working with lots of very small growers etc. He really know his stuff. I warn you tho if he invites you to try a few different roasts, you'll be buzzing for days!
This is the nearest thing I got this year...

I got a wdt tool, a rotary distribution tool, a tamping mat and a large bag of grumpy mule espresso beans... And also a voucher for a training session at a local coffee bar...
All good, now I'm just needing to buy a lower pressure spring and a bottomless portafilter for my machine and the rabbit hole descent is well underway !
