what to look for in terms of credentials &projects for an architect? I've had a couple around discussing my house and they all seem keen enough and like my ideas- but when I've reviewed their work, most of the stuff appears to be a 'standard' CAD output.
Also any builders in Glasgow on here, looking for some stuff to get done.

Look on architecture.com or http://www.rias.org.uk/ and search their online register of architects/ practices.
I would eventually choose the most suitable architect from a short list - mostly being the one that you feel that you will get on with best, all other things being considered.
