Is everyone else as enthralled by this as I am? I'm blown away by it.

Actually feel quite emotional watching these guys coming to the surface. Incredible feat of engineering and incredible endurance by these men - hats off to them.

Yeah its great news. Too often these types of stories end in disaster.

Still, i wouldnt like to be the last man getting pulled out, having to wait down there on yer todd would be a bit scary.

Totally unglued.
It's great and all that but I don't feel the need to watch/hear all the waffle reportage

If you've seen one man surface in a giant smartie tube, you've seen em all. Bore off

You're a cynical bunch that's for sure. I still think it's pretty awesome.

I admit I've turned the sound off though!

Absolutley!! I tried my best to stay up through the night but 'dropped off' about 2.00. Woke up at 6.30 as three had been lifted. Catching latest now on Beeb website. Human resiliance at its finest...

At least they all got some Oakleys.

Excellent news but you just know that the press are creaming themselves to make it into the biggest story ever.

Apparently a few of them have already been arrested for "having sex with a miner".

Do we know when Yonni Barrios is coming out?

It will be interesting to see the reaction he gets from the Wife!

incredible endurance by these men

It's not like they had a choice, is it?

Lol at Mr Mills tho 🙂

Funny article in the Guardian though, about the reporters fighting amongst themselves 🙂

Sky News commentary is pretty appalling to be honest.

"Here comes #12, Edison Pena who is a massive Elvis fan!"

Are they actually sending people down?

From the beeb website: "Phoenix capsule arrives at bottom of the shaft carrying another official"

Yeah, they started sending down 4 rescuers/medics who are working on a 12 hour shift so will be getting replaced pretty soon.

Although they did say the first rescuer they sent down - a specialist mine rescue guy - will be there until the last miner is brought up. I guess he'll be switching off the lights before he comes back up.
