Am I the only person who hates the "Things Money Can't Buy" auction and the insane prices that people are willing to pay for these things to get their name on the radio? I know the money goes to a very worthwhile cause, but even so... why not run it as a raffle so everyone gets a chance and not just the richest 1% of society?

I can kind of see your point. The thing that rankles me is that there are children in such dire need yet in order to extract money from the extremely rich you need to offer ridiculous enticements. Sadly, running it as a raffle would probably not raise as much money.
