Anyone managed to find a decent site that explains this simply?

I presume the new scheme doesn't count as a salary sacrifice like the old one did? From what I've read you pay into an childcare account which is given a 20% uplift (so I presume that is after ni and tax?)

I've read you can join the old scheme till August 2015 and continue to use it. Little one is due June. Can you pay for childcare vouchers "in advance" as they won't be starting nursery till Feb? So you can stay on the old scheme which seems a lot better (if I understand the differences correctly)

I think you can start paying in early, i think I did. I'd forgotten about that change to the scheme.

Yes you can "stock up" in advance. Only thing that might cause an issue is you need to provide the nursery ref# to the voucher provider, our nursery wouldn't give us this until the place was confirmed. From memory I wanted to start buying vouchers from the November but couldn't until February.
