Any recommendations? Is just for light and occasional home use eg printing tickets etc. Oh and it has to take generic ink cartridges rather than us being locked into exorbitant own brand replacement costs.
Ta.
I just recently got a HP 2600 with their pay-as-you-go Instant Ink service- as long as I print under 15 pages a month it costs nothing at all
Do you need colour? If not just get a mono laser.
+1
For occasional use, a laser is the way to go unless you REALLY need colour (and even then you can get a colour laser for like £150 these days). Inkjets dry out and clog unless they get regular use, you'll be using more ink in cleaning cycles than printing.

Also gone for an HP Envy with instant ink - £35 in PC world and free ink if you print under 15 pages a month, and still cheap if you print more. The printer even orders it on it's own.
They're taking over, skynet etc....
When did HP start that free 15 page tariff? I'm on the £1.99 deal, (50 pages?) But some months I reckon we do zero.
mono laser , samsung or brother , cheap with very cheap off brand toner cartridge , will work forever .
colour laser if you have the space , a full set of toners is £30 for ours .
I didn't know about that instant ink thing. Sounds ideal as we probably average no more than half a dozen sheets a month. Cheers guys.
