damn, i've been googling too much and am intriqued.
to save me time, can anyone recomend sites for deals on components?
found a budget hackintosh build up list, want to see what it can be done for with a bit of shopping about.
Tend to go to ebuyer or scan.
ebuyer used to be awful for returns but are well priced (even though they're in Goole, the arse of the universe). Scan is a perennial favourite and also consider Dabs.
I'd suggest that you're prepared to run Linux/Windows on this computer, as even with a set of supposedly working parts, no amount of time, googling or foruming could find a way to make the thing work. If you desperately NEED to run OSX, you might as well save the few hundred you'd spend on the hackintosh and put it into a macbook.
