Edit- I mean Prescription. Prefer a yellow tint if possible and not fancy as in Oakleys- possible?

I've used the £5 ones from B&Q, they were great till I lost them. But that's why I bought cheap ones, not such a big loss when I lose them.

Hora find an RX frame you like in the style/fit you want, any decent optician, independant or multiple or even the online stuff can put whatever colour tint you like on it

I should have said, the UV can be done in three ways, polycarb (naturally UV resistant), a UV dye use for coluor or an additional UV coating

What do you mena by cheap. Adidas Evil Eyes are about £110, replacement optical inserts (the prescription bit) are about £30 and the outer lens are swappable.
Cheaper than prescription ray bans, more expensive than reading glasses from the pound shop

I've got broken Evil Eyes at home. They seem to attract scratches etc- and the insert in them is ridiculous.

Whereas I wear very very thin plastic arm/lens normal prescription glasses- have ridden with them for miles etc etc. No problems.

As the hustler said, any decent optician will be able to make up Rx lenses for your choice of frame in any practical colour

Think I was quoted £80.00 for a pair customised titanium clip-on for my normal glasses. I want it for driving at night only.

I've just bought these:

[img] [/img]

They are made by Shoptic, which is German I think. The big problem with wraparound glasses is the curve of the lenses, which makes it very difficult for the optician because the blanks are limited and expensive. With these, the lenses are cleverly mounted in sub-frames that are flatter than the frame, giving you a much bigger choice of cheaper blanks. You can also pop out the sub-frames and fit plain tinted lenses that come with the glasses if you just want eye protection or want to wear contact lenses. These are varifocal, anti-glare coated and photochromic and I'm sure you could get them tinted. The vision is quite superb, but they did cost rather a lot... *gulp*

I've had trouble finding a brand website, I got them from my excellent local optician here in Lancashire.

This is the only site I can find that shows some of the options. I think mine are at the top. My optician seems to have better access.

http://www.specs2u.co.uk/sports-glasses/

Mine cost around £220 with a hefty discount.

You could try picking up a pair of Arnet Ravens off eBay, and getting them re-glazed. I've got a couple of pairs, one of which I had re-glazed with Rx lenses in a Persimmon tint. Really effective, very comfortable, and the frames aren't stupidly expensive. I've just replaced a pair of Arnet Black Dog frames that I'd had re-glazed, and stupidly broke last weekend, and while I was looking on eBay I saw quite a few Ravens for sale, between $50 and $80. My Dogs were $66 including $23 postage , so around £44, which isn't expensive.
When I get home I'll take a piccy of mine.
These are sunnies from around '97, so not something you can find in a shop anymore.

Ciliary Blue did prescription lenses for my Joakely Split Jackets, sent them the frames and my prescription and got a pair of tinted (black) and clear lenses.

I have some very curved Rudy Projects for skiing but the lenses are so curved that it takes a few minutes for my eyes to get accustomed to the aberration. The benefit of the Shoptics I have pictured is the cleverly-disguised flatter lenses.

Here's my venerable pair of Ravens, with prescription Persimmon lenses. My prescription isn't that strong, when these were made up, they were something like +1.75/+0.75.

Sorry, dunno; I've lost the little card on which it was written down.

Until now I've been using these, which I picked up in TK Max for £11.99. I just got them glazed clear with the cheapest single-vision plastic lenses, which cost me £50:

They didn't work very well so I've given the frames to my cycling buddy's wife, who admired the shape a coupe of times.
