Mrs Ambrose loves skiing and is very keen to go this Easter. We are financially limited. Easter school holiday time is the only time available due to work constraints. Driving to the Alps is not a consideration for her, but a coach trip would be.

Any suggestions?

DIY it. Cheap flights to Milan then head to the Alps or dolomites. You should be able to find a reasonably priced hotel. Maybe Passo Tonale.

Italy is cheaper than France
Bulgaria is cheaper still, don't know what the snow will be like there relatively late in the season

We always go at Easter. Keep looking at Cristal Ski as they have loads of bargins nearer the time.

We always go at easter too. There seems to be fewer deals around this year than previous, we usually do a package, but this Easter is our first DIY.

Couple of things to consider if DIYing, you might get cheap flights, but you can get stung for transfers or car hire so always take that into consideration.
We stayed here last Easter, which was good as we got a free child place - bonus is that it's all inclusive so you get drinks free all night Hofer Kitzbuhel

Leave it to last minute if you are willing to risk it. Check out the big players, but call them rather than rely on the website - they may be able to sort something for you.
Check out the clearing type places like Alpine Answers, Igluski, direct ski etc...

Just keep your eyes on the snow reports, Alps have had a phenomenal season but as we left Tignes last week it was gorgeous blue skies + temperatures, snow was melting rapdily with none forecast and the forecoming week described as "spring like temperatures" so not too great for skiing! good luck

look at skitopia, ski line etc i've been getting e-mails with LOADS of deals.

Tignes will be fine until the end of April at least. Well the nicely compacted pistes will be.

Latest forecast across much of the Alps is for a 20C dip in temps next week 10c this week, -10C next week!
