My daughter has dropped her iPhone 5s down the toilet, and guess what - it doesn't work!! I suggested to her that as Dad is not forking out for a new one just because of her carelessness, she look at a cheap replacement, eg some sort of Android. Her response is that she needs one with a nano SIM.
Any suggestions for cheap phones with nano SIM.
Suggestions for what to do with daughter, I have plenty myself!
ps Does AppleCare cover toilet accidents of this sort?
phone companies will give you another sim that fits, so any phone would be back on the table.
as above. you can also get adaptors to drop your nano sim into to make it the same size as other sims. see ebay, or order a free three (cos I know they come like this) SIM which is a nano sim with adaptors to other sizes, bin the SIM, use the adaptors.
always worth a friendly/non-expectant conversation with an apple shop if you do have apple care.

I converted my wife's sim to a nano sim but just cutting bits off. Soe I'm pretty sure you can go the other way by just gluing bit on.
Or using a suitable adaptor.

Yep. At the very worse they will offer you a refurb at a "reasonable" price.
(Note: Apple "reasonable" may not match actual "reasonable")
The adaptors work fine, BUT a word of warning about them. Nano SIMs are slightly thinner than micro and mini SIMs. This means that unless you are careful you can bend the metal contacts back on the phone when removing the adaptor with the SIM in it. 😳

Yes. I destroyed a phone like that. Seems to be a family problem.
Yep also ruined a phone using SIM adaptor. I'll rather just buy a new sim card for £10 and ask the phone company to shift the account to the new sim. Some may even give you a new SIM for free.
Never had a problem here with the adaptors across a couple of phones, one of which got regularly swapped out for various reasons.
Ps. The older moto g phones are still very good, and can be had very cheap on old stock or refurb.

where please i need one.
I got a refurb G off the Argos ebay store.
To the op - the network will give (in store) or send out a replacement sim in a larger size. So your daughter can just do that (thus foiling her plan to get a new expensive phone off Dad I suspect 😉
The more expensive applecare covers accidental damage IIRC, but it's an extra and it might only be the US version (as may your contents insurance).
EBay. Argos outlet has some at the moment.
